Father Ruh stands in his apron, his well-worn and beloved sweater, and fedora, over-seeing the early stages in construction of the Grotto in Honour of Our Lady of Lourdes, on the north side of the prairie cathedral, the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary was designed by Father Ruh and built between 1930-1940, but was not consecrated until the altar was completed in 1952. This photo shows the unfinished bell-tower left of the church, and early stages of the Grotto in Honour of Our Lady of Lourdes, on the extreme left.
