Hilda (Tofts) Havelock fonds

The collection consists of three cartes de visites, one postcard portrait and 21 snapshots of various sizes. The cartes are the oldest photographs in this collection. Only one features identified subjects, a woman and infant identified in a caption verso as Mary Ann Westwood (nee Wisby) and her baby Claude in 1861. Three of the snapshots show Hilda with her school friends, first at Rivers School , ca. 1910, and at St. George's, ca.1913. The other snapshots feature Hilda and/or people who are likely her family and friends, ca.1908 - 1930. The one colour snapshot features an older woman identified in a caption verso as Hilda H., ca.1979.

Hildegarde and Siegfried Molder fonds

Item consists of 1 black and white photograph, originally mounted in a display folder, of Hildegarde and Siegfried on their wedding day. Also found here is 1 colour snapshot of Hildegarde and Siegfried's daughter Glenda Murray modelling her mother's wedding dress on the occasion of her parents 50th anniversary celebration.

Hoss Collection

The subjects of the photographs are individuals and groups of the type usually found in family albums. None of the subjects are identified. Many of the photographs have photographer's imprints from Milwaukee indicating a possible family connection with that city. As expected, many photographs display imprints indicating they were taken in Warsaw, Poland.

Irma (Honey) and Dave Braddell fonds

This collection contains photographs that have come down to the donor, Irma (Honey) Braddell, from both sides of her family tree. Included with this holding is an album containing 48 photographs dating from ca.1870 - 1900 and which had belonged to Amy (Austen) Flynn. Subjects include members of Amy Flynn's family, including aunts and uncles, her two brothers and two sisters and their respective mates and families and her husband, William Flynn. Also in the album is an exterior shot of a Prairie homestead ca.1890 and the interior of a millinery shop ca.1895-1900. Photographer's imprints indicate that the photographs originated in Wisconsin as well as North Dakota and Montana. Also included are twelve loose photographs, most of which are contemporary copy prints of older photographs, with subjects dating from ca. 1870 - 1930 including Amy's mother, Sarah Woolworth; Amy as a child; William and Amy's home at Binscarth; two photographs of Dave Bradell's parents around the time of their marriage; and various other family members and friends.

The collection consists of: a black and white snapshot of a man, possibly the donor's brother, driving a horse and buggy, ca.1913; and a framed carte de visite of a man and woman, full length, identified as a wedding portrait of the donor's parents, ca.1879.

John Hughesman Collection

Fifty of the photographs were contained in a Cartes de Visites album (designated A9). The photographs date from ca.1860-1880 and largely feature unidentified individuals as are found in many family collections. Also included with the donation were 13 loose photographs (designated C11) of various sizes and formats dating from ca.1885-1960; (predominant 1885-1910). These include both children and adult subjects.

Katarina and Edward Wehrman fonds.

Items consist of a portrait of a man and woman, seated. The couple are identified as Katarina and Edward Wehrman and a caption on the reverse of the item indicates the photograph was taken in 1911 in Siberia. Katarina Wehrman is possibly wearing around her neck a ladies watch (JH-520) that was donated at the same time as the photograph.

Laura (Jackson) Cronsberry fonds

Included in this collection are two snapshots of Elizabeth (Chalmers) Jackson, ca.1927 and 1930. In one, Elizabeth is shown wearing her 1930 wedding dress and head piece (which was also worn by Laura 44 years later). There are four snapshots showing Laura and other members of the wedding party at her 1974 wedding to Ivan Cronsberry in Aurora, Ontario. Also included are three other snapshots of Laura, ca.1959 - 1974 and which show her wearing other items of clothing donated to the Museum.

Leona and Emile LaCoste fonds

The photographs, all measuring 9.9 x 12.4 cm (4 x 5"), feature the bride and groom, their parents and attendants. There is an interesting view of the interior of the Belgian Sacred Heart Church during the wedding mass. The bride and groom are also shown cutting the cake at the reception which followed the wedding. The photographs are mounted in a souvenir wedding album.

Leone and Ofelia Caetani fonds

Items described here consist of an album containing 103 colour images. The album was compiled to serve as a record of Ofelia's wardrobe prior to its sale following her death and was likely created between 1960 and 1984. According to notes made by Museum curator Dr. Jane Fuller at the time of the donation the model, Mrs. Shirley Paine, was chosen for her resemblance to Ofelia. Also described here are 2 original black and white prints as well as 13 copies featuring Leone and Ofelia Caetani and their daughter Sveva. The originals of these copies have been accessioned by the Vernon Museum. In addition there are 4 colour photographs and 1 colour Polaroid of Ofelia's Louis Vuitton luggage, which has also been donated to the Museum.
