Sydney L. Morantz fonds

Fonds consists of records of Sydney L. Morantz relating to his work with multiple Jewish organizations in Winnipeg. Organizations represented include Maimonides College, Joseph Wolinsky Collegiate, Jewish Welfare Fund and the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba. Records include reports, correspondence, programs and newsletters and meeting minutes.

Harry Gale fonds

Fonds consists of records of Harry Gale reflecting his personal interests, labour activism and his involvement with the Canadian Jewish Congress Yiddish Committee and other Jewish organizations.

Several files of newspaper clippings reflect a variety of subjects of interest to Harry Gale including Yiddish theatre and Israeli affairs. The clippings are mostly from Winnipeg’s Jewish newspapers.

Records of the Yiddish Committee include minutes, correspondence, scripts for radio programs and recordings of radio programs. Also included are other records of the Canadian Jewish Congress Western Division such as newsletters, reports of various committees and event programs.

Records reflecting Gale’s involvement with B’nai B’rith include correspondence, conference manuals, and other publications.

Jewish Labour organization records consist of newsletters and other publications. These organizations include Jewish Labor Committee of Canada and Labour Zionist Alliance.

Fonds consist of financial records, minute books and other records from B’nai Israel Synagogue in Brandon, Manitoba.

Financial records include ledger books, cash books, day books, bank statements and returned cheques. Other records include minute books and a volume recording membership dues. Records relating to the cemetery consist of an plan of the grounds and a volume listing information about burials.

Fonds consists of administrative records of Camp Massad including reports, financial statements, financial statements and correspondence.

Reports include those from the Chairmen and various committees. Correspondence is with the Zionist Organization of Canada, parents, and other people and organizations. This also includes correspondence and other records relating to fundraising for the camp. Other records include lists of campers, songbooks and blank forms for staff, campers and parents.

Max Narvey B’nai Brith Lodge No. 1846 fonds

Fonds consists of records of the Max Narvey Lodge of B’nai Brith in Melville, Saskatchewan including meeting minutes, correspondence and ledgers. The correspondence is mostly with the regional office of B’nai Brith and lists the members of the lodge. Also included are constitutions and directories of B’Nai Brith District No. 6 and a B’nai Brith guide to rituals.

Fonds consists of photo albums, scrapbooks and other records of Gert Coppleman-Shragge.

The photo albums depict the social life of the Shragge family in Kenora, Ontario.

Scrapbooks consist of entries on various acquaintances of Gert Shragge including information on their appearance, likes and dislikes, crushes, favourite songs and film stars and other similar information. The scrapbooks are decorated with illustrations cut from magazines or books.

Other records include letters from friends and commemorative issues of Kenora newspapers published for various anniversaries.
