More than forty clergy, including Metropolitan Maxim Hermaniuk, pose on the ground, Ukrainian Park, Arnes, Manitoba. Metropolitan Hermaniuk, newly installed as Archbishop Metropolitan, stands in the centre, Monsignor Wasyl Kusnir, to the right of him; Reverend Semen Izyk stands at the far left; Reverend Joseph Pulak is the third man to the left of His Grace. Metropolitan Hermaniuk has written in ink, in Ukrainian, on the back that this is a retreat for the Ukrainian clergy of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg at Ukrainian Park. July 1, 1957.

Code of Eastern Canon Law

Series consists of papers from the early pre-Council days of the Theological Commission, and from Vatican II during which time the Synod of Bishops examined the Eastern Code in relation specifically to the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada, as well as considering many other issues. The papers were created in the course of this work, to which are linked the series dealing with Vatican II and with the Synod of Bishops.

Commemoration of Metr. Andrij's Visit to Ukrainians in Yugoslavia

Commemorative card in black and white is a portrait of Metropolitan Andrij Sheptytckyj (Andrei Sheptytskyj) shortly after his release from Russia in 1917. The black and white print bears Metropolitan Andrij's name and dates, at the bottom of the front of the print. Also on the front, on the top are the dates of his visits to Yugoslavia and the identity of the celebration.

Commemorative Plaque: Fiftieth Anniversary of U.C. Hierarchy

The photo depicts the plaque created to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the works of the Ukrainian Catholic Hierarchy (in North America?). It bears the face of Bishop Budka, first Ukrainian Catholic bishop in Canada. See also MMHP0127, a similar representation of Bishop Basil Ladyka, in honour of the same occasion.
