Father Ruh’s coffin, carried by pallbearers up the stairs of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary the morning of his funeral. Requiem Mass held at 8:30 in the morning at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in Winnipeg was followed two hours later by the Requiem in Father Ruh’s home parish in Cook’s Creek.

The procession wound down the steps of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary to a special plot reserved for Father Ruh in the cemetery nearby, where he was buried on Tuesday, October 30, 1962.
