This fonds contains hundreds of news clippings consisting of editorial cartoons created for the Winnipeg Free Press between 1952 and 1980. This collection is non-exhaustive and includes miscellaneous clippings from other papers and sources. In addition, there are other artistic works provided for the Free Press and artwork from additional projects including illustrations for books, magazines, and teaching manuals. Photographs of himself, friends, and other individuals are also included in addition to other artwork. Several personal sketchbooks depicting examples of his portrait and landscape works, can also be found within the collection.

Portée et contenu : Le fonds se rapporte principalement aux recherches du Docteur T.G. et Lillian Hamilton sur les phénomènes paranormaux à partir de 1918 jusqu’en 1945. Les sujets traités dans les documents incluent les coups frappés, la clairvoyance, les états de transe et les graphiques de transe, la télékinèse, les moulages de paraffine, les tintements de cloches, les transcriptions et visions, ainsi que les téléplasmes. Les documents sont dans les divers formats suivants : albums, registres des présences aux séances, affidavits, écriture automatique, correspondance, discours et conférences, coupures de presse, articles de périodiques, livres, photographies, plaques (sur verre) négatives et positives, images, diapositives, enregistrements, manuscrits, et matériaux publicitaires sur les publications majeures. Toutes les images positives prises des épreuves négatives ont été conservées avec les documents écrits des expériences qu’elles illustrent. Presque toutes les plaques en verre négatives ont été photographiées pour fin archivistique et la collection d’images noires et blanches glacées est aussi disponible. The fonds consists of one letter from Archbishop Matheson to A.V. Mitchener at Manitoba Agricultural College dated November 17, 1919. Archbishop Matheson's letter is a response to Mitchener's request for information on the grasshopper plague of 1867-1868.

This fonds, established by Sam Waller throughout his career, consists of materials accumulated on areas of interest to Sam, including taxidermy, natural history, stamps, religion and education. This fonds consists of correspondence, both written and received by Sam Waller from 1919 – 1978; notes written and observed by Sam on nature from 1923 – 1977; items regarding the Cree language, including dictionaries, correspondence and church-related materials; diaries written during his travels and missionary posts; literary works, spanning from short stories to anecdotes by Sam; as well as sermons and religious items. The Sam Waller fonds also includes museum notes and various other documentation, including legal documents and museum records from the inauguration of the Little Northern Museum until Sam’s death; and ephemera, including numerous pamphlets and guest books.

Ce fonds contient des procès-verbaux et registres financiers de la Société d'agriculture de Sainte-Agathe. On y retrouve en outre un registre de production des vaches laitières et de porcs d'Emmanuel Lemoine tenu pour le Ministère de l'Agriculture. Ce fonds contient des dossiers de recherches généalogiques effectuées par le père Aurèle Lemoine o.m.i. ainsi qu'une série de photographies documentant principalement la vie agricole de la famille Lemoine à Sainte-Agathe. Ces photographies accompagnent un enregistrement d'Emmanuel Lemoine préparé lors du projet d'histoire orale sur l'expérience agricole fait en 2007.

Robert Klymasz fonds

The first accession (A.02-32) consists of research material pertaining to the Gimli Community Research Project. Included are published materials about Gimli and the Interlake (pamphlets, brochures, maps, and clippings), handwritten notes, correspondence, and the draft and final copy of the GCRP report. In addition to the textual material, the collection contains over three hundred photographs which depict life in the Interlake Area.

The second accession (A.03-87) consists of personal correspondence and research material during Robert Klymasz's career as a curator for East European Collections at the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Hull, Quebec, as an instructor of Ukrainian Folklore at the University of Manitoba, and as a contributor to the Ukrainian Catholic Newspaper, Postup (Progress). In addition to textual material, the collection contains personal photographs and audio-recordings (both commercial and non-commercial) pertaining to Ukrainian folklore (primarily Ukrainian-Canadian). The third accession (A.05-52) consists of documentation and research material pertaining to Klymasz's Archival Research Project on Walter Klymkiw.

The fourth accession (A.06-61) consists of correspondence (2002-2006), research material (Koshetz Project, Ukrainian Music), various announcements of Ukrainian Canadian cultural events, collections of post cards/collection cards, and a photographs (PC 170). The fifth accession (A.07-29) consists of correspondence (1995-2007), various cultural events and research projects, Shirley Klymasz's biographical information and art work and 2 family photographs (PC 170). The sixth accession (A.08-36) consists of correspondence, material on various archival research projects including A priest, a maestro, a community: epistolary insights into the music culture of Winnipeg's Ukrainian community, 1936-1944 (2006-2007), Winnipeg Papers on Ukrainian Music (2008), and Nuggets from the past: quotations on the Ukrainian experience in Canada (2007), and photographs from his family archives (PC 170).

The seventh accession (A.09-101) consists of biographical information, Winnipeg Papers on Ukrainian Book Culture manuscript (2009), research material and correspondence, photographs from "Leadership Courses" organized by the Ukrainian National Youth Federation in Lake Winnipeg (1955), and Ukrainian Music Culture papers in electronic format.

The eighth accession (A.11-49) consists of Winnipeg Papers on Ukrainian Arts Culture manuscripts (2010) and on Searching for Kanadiis'ka Rus'" (2011), research material and correspondence, and Ukrainian wedding photographs fro the 1950s taken in Toronto and Manitoba.

The ninth accession (A.14-98) consists of: biographical; correspondence; Winnipeg Papers; Ukrainian organizations & events; miscellaneous research materials; photographs (1930s to 1970s); and electronic memory stick.

The tenth accession (A.16-21) contains documents of biographical interest, selections from Klymasz’s correspondence (including e-mails); articles, reviews and letters submitted by Klymasz and published in scholarly journals and in newspapers, as well as one conference paper; research materials on the poets included in Winnipeg Papers #7, “From the Heart: The Best Anthology of Canadian Poetry in Ukrainian,” compiled by Klymasz for the CUCS at the University of Manitoba, as well as two copies of the anthology; and a selection of concert programs, annual reports, and miscellaneous newspaper and periodical issues collected by Klymasz.

The eleventh accession (A.16-67) contains documents, photographs, audio-visual materials, and artefacts of biographical interest, as well as selections from Klymasz’s correspondence (including e-mails); research materials, primarily newspaper clippings, on the Canadian Museum for Human Rights for Klymasz's conference paper "The Museum as Monument and the Architect as Museum-Maker"; and a selection of miscellaneous newspaper and periodical issues collected by Klymasz

In total, the photograph collection (PC 170) consists of 484 photographs, 219 slides, 188 negatives, and 5 videocassettes. The tape collection consists of 13 audio-cassettes and 7 compact discs. The electronic records collection (EL 20) consists of 3 computer diskettes. 3 compact discs and 1 memory stick.

Canadian Jewish Congress, Western Division fonds

Fonds reflects the work done by the Canadian Jewish Congress, Western Division to support and aid members of the Jewish community. Textual records consist of correspondence (concerning congress activities, programs and fundraising as well as relief and aid services between the Western Division and the divisions and organizations of the Canadian Jewish Congress, other aid organizations and individuals seeking assitance); minutes; reports (describing activities and operations of the divisions and aid organizations of the Canadian Jewish Congress as well as other aid organizations); memoranda; publications (including conference proceedings, organizational bulletins and publications supporting the Jewish Community and fighting against anti-Semitism, discrimination and prejudice); financial records; and lists of Holocaust survivors. There are a limited number of photographs (including identification pictures and rural and urban scenes) as well as two artefacts (letter presses).
The records reflect the Western Division’s programs, projects and World War II aid efforts as well as its relationship with the National, Eastern and Central Divisions of the Canadian Jewish Congress, the aid organizations under the direction of the Canadian Jewish Congress, including the Winnipeg Congress Council, the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society and the United Jewish Refugee and War Relief Agencies as well as other aid organizations, including the World Jewish Congress, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society.
These records are predominately arranged by subject matter and the organization, branch or committee which the documents are related to.
