This collection includes transcripts of the records transcribed from cemetery headstones located in cemeteries throughout southwestern Manitoba. Each transcript includes details about the cemetery records and all details including names, dates, and inscriptions from each headstone. The collection includes a "Cemetery Transcript List" detailing those cemeteries for which transcripts exist. The bulk of this collection falls into five main categories: records dealing with the Brandon Packers Strike of 1960 and the subsequent legal actions against the owners, including all 2215 pages of the Brandon Packers Strike Commission; records dealing with the Commission of Inquiry into The Pas Forestry and Industrial Complex, including the complete transcript of the inquiry measuring approximately 5m (This Commission dealt with the conduct of Churchill Forest Industries, a company owned by a Swiss financial firm, which, in the 1960's, was given approximately 93 million dollars by the Roblin Provincial Government to develop The Pas Forestry and Industrial Complex. Churchill Forest Industries and its parent company subsequently came under suspicion of fraud and accused of fradulently transfering The Pas Forestry funds into other foreign business interests); records dealing with business loans awarded by the Manitoba Development Corporation during the 1970's and 1980's to businesses primarily within Manitoba; records dealing with McKenzie Seeds, and McKenzie Steele-Briggs Seeds during the early 1980's when George MacDowell was a board member of McKenzie Seeds; and records dealing with Professor MacDowell's career as a Professor at Brandon University, including records relating to his courses and to administrative activities. To a lesser extent, this collection includes records dealing with the University of Saskatchewan College of Commerce, the publication the Manitoba New Democrat, issues associated with politics, labor and union in the prairie provinces from the 1960's to the 1980's, articles from various economic periodicals including Economica and Public Finance, a variety of government reports from 1941 to 1981, and records dealing with George MacDowells' relationship with the Brandon Firefighters Association.

Arthur T. "Art" Puttee fonds

Fonds contains one hockey goaltender stick used by Art Puttee while goalie for the Canadian hockey team (the University of Manitoba Grads) that won the 1931 World Championships in Krynica, Poland. Handwritten on one side of the handle is the text, "Winners of Turnbull Cup (Manitoba Champ), Abbott Cup (Western Canada Champ), Ross Robertson Memorial Cup (Canadian Champ). Played 21 games, won 17, tied 3, lost 1." On the outer edge of the handle is the text, "Total goals - for 113 - against 36." Other side of the handle has Art Puttee's signature. Signatures of other players are partially visiable across other parts of the stick; legible names include Doupe, Murdoch, and Chapman.

Fonds consists of correspondence, clippings, memos, publications and other records pertaining to the political and diplomatic career of Edward Schreyer as well as personal records, research materials and conference proceedings relating to the environment, energy, sustainable development and Habitat for Humanity, as well as the personal library, certificates and plaques relating to the career of H.E. Edward Schreyer. Personal and professional photographs, audio recordings and moving images as well as some textile artifacts are also included.

The fonds consist of records related to the Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg including newsletters, yearbooks and student records from the Children’s Hospital School of Nursing, departmental correspondence, meeting minutes, clippings, discussion papers and reports. The photograph collection contains images of patients, staff, volunteers and the various buildings in which the hospital has been situated. These images were digitized in 2009. There are also a small number of films as well as various pieces of artwork and artifacts including uniforms, trophies, china, silverware and medals
