Fonds consists of records created or compiled by Cherie Smith relating to her writing of books about her family’s history. Records include drafts of books, research and publicity.
Draft manuscripts include copies of Mendel’s Children: A Family Chronicle that have been heavily annotated by people reviewing them as well as copies of unpublished manuscripts. Also included are flyers and reviews for Mendel’s Children.
Research material for the books include maps of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the Pale of Settlement; correspondence and copies of published materials.

Fonds consists of records of the Talmud Torah-Joseph Wolinsky Parent-Teacher Association including meeting minutes and scrapbooks.
Minutes of Parent Teacher Association meetings discuss fundraising events, school events, curriculum, facilities and staffing among other issues. Also included are some minutes of the school’s executive board. Other administrative records include membership lists, annual reports and the organizations constitution.
The scrapbooks were compiled by members of the association and document events and activities at the schools and of the association. Records include programs, correspondence, newspaper clippings and Annual General Meeting reports.

Sam Drache’s involvement with the Zionist Organization of Canada, Jewish National Fund, United Palestine Appeal and other
Zionist organizations is documented in correspondence, financial records, newsletters and memoranda.
Personal records include correspondence, vital statistics records of family members and tax records.
Other records in the fonds appear to be related to historical projects. These include inventories of records about the history of Zionism in Canada as well as research conducted by Sam Drache intended to be used in his memoirs.

Fonds consists of records created or acquired by Doris Margolis related to her work with Jewish musical groups and other Jewish organizations. Records include sheet music for works written by Margolis and programs for musical performances and other events in the Winnipeg Jewish Community.
Sheet music and scripts include those for Yiddish and English songs and musical skits written by Doris Margolis for the Jewish Women’s Musical Club and for Hadassah-WIZO. Also included is other published sheet music for Yiddish and English for works performed by the Jewish Women’s Musical Club or the Golden Age Choir.
Also included are volumes compiled by Doris Margolis about the history of the Jewish Women’s Club and the Golden Age Choir. These volumes include newspaper clippings, programs, photographs and musical scores.
