The collection contains material collected by Isabelle Heeney (1902-1996). The majority of the collection is comprised of written texts about Manitoba history. These texts include books about the history of Elton and Carberry Plains; Brandon teacher's strike of 1922; history of the Anglican Church in Brandon; and Manitoba's architectural heritage. There is also a cookbook from 1909 and five issues of a literary magazine published for Brandon Collegiate in the early 1900s. Other items in the collection include a Loyal Orange Lodge membership certificate from 1911, and a photograph of a bride c.1890.
The collection consists of a 1898 Farmer's Advocate Magazine, a photograph of Canada's Prime Ministers from 1870 to 1963, and the minutes from the Westman Oral History Association from 1980 to 1985.
