The fonds consists of personal and professional papers, photographs, tapes, and clinical records and studies dating from 1936 to 1979. The papers deal with diseases affecting newborns and children, and genetic and anthropological blood group studies. An almost complete reprint collection of Dr. Chown's publications form an important part of the collection. The collection will be of interest to a variety of specialists, immunologists, pediatricians, hematologists, pathologists, and medical historians.

Among the numerous religions that are featured in this collection, are Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, Baptist, and Seventh Day Adventist.The final two photographs are of "Norman" and "Verna" dated 1946.

The 1997 and 2004 accessions consist of 11.2 m of textual records divided into eight series and fifteen sub-series. The eight major series of the fonds are personal information, academic career material, correspondence, research, writings, radio and television work, consulting work, and miscellaneous material. In addition, there are 111 computer diskettes (5 1/4" and 3 1/2" floppies), 359 audio cassettes, 1 reel-to-reel audio tape, 197 video cassettes, 1 film reel, 33 photographs, 13 slides, and 1 negative comprising the photograph, tape, and electronic records collections.

The 2013 accession consists of six series: personal information, correspondence, writings, radio and television, board membership, and miscellaneous interests and research. The first series contains material from the 1950s to 2013, consisting primarily of biographical information about Dian Cohen, various awards that she’s obtained over the years, day planners, and records created by and/or pertaining to members of her family, including her daughter, her ex-husband and his family. The second series contains various correspondence that Cohen has kept from 1958-2004. While some are personal, such as letters from her father, most are related to business or publishing. The third series contains Dian Cohen’s various written works and speeches from 1972-2003. Most of the material in this series relates to the book “Net Results” and to speeches given at various events and conferences. In addition to the writings themselves, this series contains many related records such as reviews. The fourth series contains transcripts and administrative papers relating to Cohen’s various radio and television productions such as “Money, Power and Politics”, as well as proposals for other productions from 1978-2003. The fifth series contains records related to the various businesses and organizations that Cohen was a board member of from 1990-2011 such as Monsanto Canada and the International Institute for Sustainable Development. In the case of Monsanto, in addition to fiduciary records, the sub-series contains research done by Cohen and Guy Stanley which sought to use Monsanto’s business model as a new standard for emulation. Finally, the last series contains various other interests of Cohen from 1958 to 1996 including articles she’s collected and guides to hone her skills as a writer and interviewer.

The fonds consists primarily of drafts of numerous radio plays and television screen plays written by Cohen. The collection also contains significant correspondence (personal and business), reviews, and related material over a period of thirty years. Two scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings on the life and career of Cohen, as well as production photographs are also included.

The fonds is compiled into five series. The first series is comprised of biographical information, including Condie's curriculum vitae. The second series contains Condie's personal and professional correspondence. The third series is divided into six sub-series consisting of individual films: Oh, Sure (1972), Getting Started (1979), Pigbird (1982), The Big Snit (1985), The Apprentice (1991), and La Salla (1996). The material within these sub-series includes award notifications, film industry and newspaper reviews, exhibition programs, animation cels, backgrounds, layouts, and dope sheets, as well as publication and periodical information pertaining to Condie'€™s career in animation. Scans of photographs make up the fourth series. A videocassette (VHS) of a compilation of Condie'€™s work for the National Film Board of Canada concludes the series. The 2006 accession consists of approximately 100 painted cels from the film The Big Snit as well as two backgrounds created by Richard Condie's sister, Sharon Condie, for the same film. The 2011 accession consists of painted cels from the films Heartland and the Big Snit, as well as two videocassettes of Heartland and The Apprentice. The fonds is compiled into two series, the first entitled Animation Cels: Painted Cels and the second PC 196.

The fonds consists of working files of the Manitoba Branch, the Winnipeg Branch, and the Fort Garry Branch of the Consumers' Association. The highlights of the collection include executive minutes from 1947-79, correspondence, membership lists, annual reports, financial records and annual meetings. Besides company files, many special investigations of consumer concerns are documented, including studies of food prices, fishing, drug costs, loan charges, consumer credit and a wide range of other matters. The fonds also contains material on the national association, its concerns and activities.
