Fonds consists of three wooden plaques with metal plates attached inscribed with the details of the awards presented to Mr. & Mrs. Christison for the beauty of their home grounds. The Manitoba Horticultural Society sponsored the provincial competition. The awards are for placing in the Urban (Towns) category, commemorating a second place in 1986, a third place in 1988, and a second place in 1989.

Collection consists of photocopies of research undertaken for Footsteps In The Sand, including a street map of Sidney (1900), land ownership reports, voter's list (1898, 1900), township maps (1876), genealogies for families and schools in Sidney, Arizona, and Firdale. Includes news clippings, business advertisements from the Carberry News Express, poems, and letters. Of note is a clipping on a fire disaster in Sidney. Black and white photographs show the Sidney Rifle club (1909), Main Street, school, Methodist Church, CPR station, flour mill, and Brick Yard, livery stable. Painting by Clara (McLachlan) Lintott shows grain elevators. The Lintotts wrote a McLachlan family history in circa 1990's.
