The fonds consists of materials created and accumulated by the Canadian Order of Foresters, Court Jubilee No. 12 in Brandon, Manitoba from 1948 to 1994. Material includes meeting minutes from 1981 to 1994, which provide information on dates and places of meetings, attendance, treasurer's reports, bills and accounts, committee reports, and society business. The fonds also contains annual reports, membership lists, roll books, and meeting minutes for the organization's provincial and executive branches. Correspondence pertains to donations, fundraising, recreation, inter-branch communication, and other activities. Other materials in the fonds are newsletters, High Court documents, ritual books, financial reports, constitutions, and educational materials for community initiatives.

Catherine E. Ardiel Collection

Three photographic postcards and an invitation to the Firemen's Annual Ball in Brandon, Manitoba, created and/or accumulated by Mrs. Ardiel, B.C., likely referring to Catherine Elma Ardiel (nee Tuckey) (1862-1943), who lived and died in Vancouver. The first postcard shows what is likely a studio photograph of two women posing in a a car and identified as Grandma Miller and Miller's sister, Edna Elma Gowan. The second postcard is a group portrait of individuals on a stage, many wearing either eye masks and/or blackface, with a group of musicians in front. The portrait is labelled on the bottom "Rouge et Noir Minstrels." The third postcard is a photo of 12 Canadian soldiers posing with guns; one soldier is identified by a handwritten arrow pointed above his head and the name "SHC Martin."

The collection contains records pertaining to early life in the Brandon area (c.1890-1950). The majority of records are from local businesses in Brandon. Records pertaining to local businesses include receipt books, price booklets, advertisements, invoices, order forms, business cards, a ledger book, rent records, and patent certificates. There are two reports on the Rural Municipality of Daly: "List of Electors" and "Auditor's Report." There is also a small number of household items--among them, a Gaelic Bible, a book of religious stories, a sewing book, a songbook, and vehicle registration cards. Also in the collection are 11 photographs of Brandon-area businesses, residents, and events.

The collection consists of photographs of William Chrest's business activities in Brandon, Manitoba, downtown Brandon scenes, and a portrait of unidentified schoolchildren.

The collection is made up of material accumulated by the City of Brandon and pertains primarily to the city's infrastructure. The majority of the collection consists of photographs. Also included are prints, one painting, and drawings. There are photographs of businesses, city streets, significant buildings, parks, sports teams, and important people. Significant buildings include hotels, stores, schools, the old City Hall, the fire hall, and the Court House. Important individuals in these photographs include mayors of Brandon, members of the British Royal family, and multiple Governor Generals of Canada. There are also photographs of groups such as the fire department, the police department, city councils, and other citizen organizations. Along with the photographs there is a disc containing digital copies for the pictures of Brandon's mayors. There are a number of framed documents included in this collection. These include certificates, proclamations, and awards of merit presented to the City of Brandon. Also found in this collection are two guest books from Manitoba's Centennial celebration, city plaques, and sketches for city planning. There is one commemorative dish held in a frame, picturing the old city hall and opera house. Each item in the collection in described in further detail at the individual level.

Coldwell-Marsden Collection

The collection consists of material belonging to the Coldwell-Marsden family. The material contains 79 reprints of photographs taken in Manitoba, British Columbia, and Ontario. The majority of the photographs are of family members and other relations. There are photographs of George R. and Annie Coldwell's family, as well as of Phoebe Jane Coldwell and George W. Marsden's family. These include photographs of their children and grandchildren. Also included in this collection are photographs of written notes (addresses, labels, etc.), as well as of furniture previously belonging to the G.R. Coldwell family of Brandon. There is one map included in the collection. It is a 1928 copy of a plan for the city of Brandon originally drawn up in 1882. Items in this collection are described in detail at the individual level in the Daly House Museum database.
