The 2005-2010 accessions of the fonds are divided into eleven series: curriculum vitae, published articles, notes and correspondence for the translation of Rare and Commonplace Flowers, correspondence regarding Uncommon Wealth, correspondence and contributors' submissions to the Carol Shields issue of Prairie Fire and to Carol Shields: The Arts of a Writing Life, reading scripts for unpublished lectures and addresses, an unpublished short story and unpublished novel, a file marked "miscellaneous" by donor that contains cards, certificates, poems and some correspondence, letters to donor from writers and critics, two colour photographs, and copies of books written or edited by the donor.

The 2014 accession (A14-71) is divided into nine series consisting of clippings, correspondence, speeches, professional writing, published works and photographs.

The fonds contains literary manuscripts of most of her books, personal and professional correspondence, material pertaining to both her literary and academic careers, 1000+ photographs, 33 audio-cassettes, 1 videocassette, and 3 computer diskettes. The A12-41 accession of the fonds consists of legal documents and correspondence relating to the Robertson v. Thomson Corp. class action lawsuit, as well as awards, portraits and other correspondence. The A12-133 accession consists of correspondence and a review of "A Terrible Beauty", a periodical on Heather Robertson and a National Magazine Awards Booklet, plus awards and portraits. The 15-005 is comprised of nine series. They include. Biographical & personal information, literary career, research material, publishing contracts, correspondence, areas of interest, photos, tapes & electronic records.

Lynne Moss Sharman Fonds

The fonds consists of newspaper clippings, photographs, posters, research material, correspondence, journal entries, and negatives. Records include collections of articles and information related to missing and murdered persons in the Thunder Bay area, as well as in Northwestern Ontario and throughout Canada. Sharman also compiled clippings related to sex work, the Highway of Tears, the Robert Pickton trial, jail deaths, residential schools, child abuse, Tyrone Conn, foster care and adoption. Most of the material pertains to the Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario region but some of Sharman’s research also covers areas across Canada. The fonds further includes planning records and documentation related to walks held for missing and murdered women, records related to the Advocacy Committee for Human Experiment Survivors – Mind Control, research and workshop material, lists of missing and murdered persons, jail deaths, and assaults, and records related to organizations such as the Children’s Aid Society and the Native Women’s Association of Canada.

The fonds consists of personal and professional correspondence, fan mail, publicity (print and online reviews, newspaper clippings, and posters advertising her appearances), photographs, awards material. research, drafts of some of Matas's novels, and copies of her published work. The first accession (A10-92) is divided into two series. They include published articles and manuscripts, and photographs. The photograph collection consists of 22,719 slides, 3157 photographs, 3209 negatives, 2 compact discs, and 1 VHS video cassette.

The second accession (A11-68) is divided into 9 series. They include biographical information and field journals, published articles and manuscripts, teaching notes, correspondence, research materials, oversize materials, photographs, audiotapes, and maps. The photograph collection consists of 343 photographs, 99 negatives, 2 films, 30 compact discs, 41 VHS video cassettes, 2 Beta cassettes, and 15 DVDs. The tape collection consists of 13 audio cassettes. The map collection consists of 2 maps.

The third accession (A14-40) is comprised of 7 series. The first series comprises a photograph collection containing 2689 photos , 1503 negatives, 23 contact sheets, 6 sketches. The second series is a slide collection containing 6450 slides. 21 videocassettes comprise the third series. Series four contains biographical and family information. Series five is comprised of articles written by Riewe & Oakes. Series six consists of course notes and research material. The final oversize series contains Riewe's academic degrees.

The fonds is entirely focused on the creation of the National Research Centre on Indian Residential Schools Proposal by the University of Manitoba’s National Research Centre Bid Committee to obtain the records of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. The subject matter of the records includes: privacy, access and intellectual property; legal agreements and settlement agreements; mandate of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission; past and present Aboriginal presence on campus; Aboriginal representation samples; Residential Schools in Canada: locations, research, intergenerational suffering; Aboriginal presence within other University or cultural heritage institutions. The records are in the following various formats: newspaper clippings, emails, settlement agreements, mandates, pamphlets, booklets, drawings, talks, drafts, statistics, reports, letters, invitations, agenda and meeting minutes, budgets, research, maps, funding applications, proposals, and two DVD’s.
