Ce fonds témoigne des activités de Bernard Mulaire tout au long de sa vie et plus particulièrement dans le monde des arts, surtout des arts visuels. La série Documentation personnelle (1934-1989) fait connaître son enfance, sa vie scolaire et ses études universitaires y compris au Collège de Saint-Boniface, à l'Université du Manitoba, et au Temple University (Philadelphie) et sa carrière d'artiste. Ses activités artistiques sont particulièrement bien documentées dans ce fonds qui comprend ses dossiers de référence sur différents sujets et artistes, ses dossiers d'exposition et ses dossiers documentant ses intérêts particuliers. On y trouve de ses oeuvres de jeunesse, d'étudiant et de maturité abondamment documentées représentant l'ensemble de la création artistique de Bernard Mulaire. De plus son intérêt pour les arts visuels est manifesté dans les divers emplois qu'il a occupé au cours de sa carrière d'artiste telle que documentée dans ce fonds. En particulier, il a été responsable de plusieurs expositions d'artistes franco-manitobains montées au Centre culturel franco-manitobain (1975 à 1976). On y trouve de nombreux dossiers sur des artistes franco-manitobains du vingtième siècle et de contemporains. Ses expositions comprennent entre autres les solos à la Gallery 1.1.1 et à la Gallery Moos. Parmi ses écrits nous trouvons sa recherche et sa documentation en vue de la publication du livre Chien. Parmi ses voyages, celui au Mexique est particulièrement bien documenté. On y trouve aussi des dossiers au sujet de membres de sa famille, d'amis, de collègues et d'artistes, dont les Franco-Manitobains Réal Bérard, Roger Boulet, Suzanne Gauthier, Roger Léveillé, Pauline Morier et Paul Savoie. Le fonds comprend aussi les oeuvres d'artistes qui lui ont été données dont Walter Bachinski, Réal Bérard, Sheila Butler, Ken Danby, William Eakin, John K. Esler, Suzanne Gauthier, Alex Janvier, Daniel Kazimierski, Wanda Koop, Sandra Kosowan, Elaine Kowalsky, Rita Letendre, Roger Léveillé, Ronald MacRae, Pauline Morier, Janus Napiwocki, Don Phillips, Pitseolak, Ed Porter, Robert Prenovault, Linda Prine, Donald Reichert, Noboru Sawai, Jim Willer et Russell Yuristy. Des oeuvres de certains de ces derniers sont comprises dans un portfolio de luxe de la galerie Moos.Les dossiers sont constitués de coupures de presse, de notes de recherche, d'une volumineuse correspondance de membres de sa famille, d'amis et de collègues et des livres reçus. On y trouve des manuscrits de Roger Léveillé. Le fonds comprend des productions artistiques documentant l'ensemble de la vie d'artiste de Bernard Mulaire. On y trouve des dessins, des illustrations, des caricatures, des peintures, des gouaches, des aquarelles, des estampes, des sérigraphies, des eaux-fortes, des pointes-sèches, des linogravures, des croquis et dessins à la mine de plomb, à l'encre, au fusain, au stylo, aux plumes feutres, aux craies Conté et aux crayons de couleur, des pastels et des affiches. Le fonds comprend aussi des écrits de jeunesse, des dissertations d'étudiant et des catalogues d'exposition. On y trouve aussi un album de bébé, des albums de photographies, des albums de cartes postales en plus des albums de photographies et de diapositives des oeuvres de Bernard Mulaire. Les photographies documentent principalement les activités de famille de Bernard, Mulaire ainsi que sa vie étudiante, surtout au Collège de Saint-Boniface, mais aussi à l'école Provencher, l'Université du Manitoba et au Tyler School of Arts à Rome. On peut aussi y trouver un grand nombre de photographies d'expositions d'artistes variés. Ce fonds contient aussi un très grand nombre de photographies de Suzanne Gauthier ainsi que d'autres artistes franco-manitobains et canadiens. De nombreuses affiches d'expositions et de certaines autres activités sont aussi dans ce fonds.

Ce fonds contient une copie dactylographiée du texte "La Littérature française au Nord-Ouest" écrit par Louis-Arthur Prud'homme et imprimé dans les Mémoires de la Société Royale en 1915. On y trouve en outre quatre cahiers de notes ayant servis à la publication d'un ou plusieurs textes sur Pierre Gaultier de La Vérendrye et l'Île au Massacre. Il y a aussi plusieurs photocopies d'articles de Prud'homme publiés dans les "Mémoires de la Société Royale du Canada", des tirés à part d'articles des "Mémoires de la Société Royale du Canada" dont certains sont annotés ou sont signés de l'auteur, ainsi qu'une copie du "Bulletin de la Société historique de Saint-Boniface" dans laquelle Prud'homme a collé plusieurs coupures de presse et documents et où il a fait plusieurs annotations.

Ce fonds documente les activités de la Oak Point Cheese and Butter Co, fromagerie de Sainte-Anne-des-Chênes, Manitoba. On y trouve les règlements et les procès-verbaux du 17 mars 1896 au 10 février 1910. On y trouve aussi le registre de la correspondance de 1896 à 1906. Les documents nous permettent de suivre l'administration d'une petite société commerciale rurale du tournant du 20e siècle.

The fonds consists of two North-West Territories Public School Leaving Examinations booklets from June 1897 and June 1898. The Department of Education in Medicine Hat was part of the North-West Territories until the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta were created out of the Territories in 1905. Although the first schools in Alberta were founded by Catholic and Protestant missionaries in the mid-nineteenth century, the North-West Territories School Ordinance of 1884 established a dual confessional system of Catholic and Protestant schooling based on the Quebec model. A photocopy of a group photograph including Ms. Ireland and her father, Thomas, owner of the local brewery, is also included.

Le fonds documente l'arrivée et la vie de la famille Morier au Manitoba. On y trouve des renseignements au sujet de leurs activités maraîchères de 1899 à 1950. On y trouve principalement des documents comptables et financiers dont des journaux comptables (journaux de recettes et de dépenses). On y trouve également des documents biographiques. Il contient aussi une série de 39 photographies représentant les résidences, les serres, les remises, le moulin à vent, des voitures et des membres de la famille. Y sont aussi représentées des vues de Saint-Vital et du chemin Sainte-Marie au tournant du siècle. Des coupures de presse documentent des activités de piété et des intérêts litéraires et politiques. Il s'y trouve aussi un plan de subdivision, des billets d'honneur et une documentation sur l'escale à Winnipeg du premier hydravion Felixtone à avoir traversé le Canada en 1920.

The fonds consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, personal journals, education material, teaching material including visually impaired material, drafts of articles and manuscripts, published articles, photographs, ephemera, unpublished fiction and non-fiction including plays, book reviews, poetry, material regarding the senior citizen's writing group, Terry King, Foster Parent's Plan, the Assiniboine Slopes Ecological Reserve, and patient rights. Included are several copies of her published books and anthologies in which she was published. The fonds also consists of biographical information about Barton's family members, correspondence from the family between 1951 and 1997, handwritten notes and excerpts from manuscripts, and reviews and correspondence regarding her book "A Slice of Life."

The fonds consists of a diary written by George Black, who describes his journey from Winnipeg by steamer up the Red River to bring relief to settlers distressed by the flood of April 22-28, 1897. It is a leather bound account book containing Black's penciled diary and a record of mail and supplies delivered.

The A90-32, A94-03, A99-72, A02-19, and A02-33 accessions contain both personal and business records reflecting Ewanchuk's career as both an educator and writer. Included are brochures, correspondence, and clippings regarding his work with the School Board as well as professional certificates held by his wife, Muriel Ewanchuk (ne Smith), handwritten and partially typed manuscripts of East of the Red, Spruce, Stone and Stamp, Pioneer Settlers: Ukrainians in the Dauphin Area 1896-1926, Pioneer Profiles: Ukrainian Settlers in Manitoba, Vertical Development Volumes 1 & 2, Vita: A Ukrainian Community, Monakh Makarii Makarenko, and East of the Red: Volumes 1 & 2. In addition to textual material, the collection contains 129 photographs which were included in Dr. Ewanchuk's various publications. In addition, 56 audio recordings with Ukrainian pioneers were included in these accessions.

The A04-129 accession consists of Michael Ewanchuk's papers pertaining to his career as the Inspector of Schools, educator and organizer of the Ukrainian curriculum at the public schools. The fonds also represents his vast interest in Ukrainian Canadian settlement in Manitoba. It contains biographical information including his degrees, numerous awards and recognitions, correspondence, Ukrainian Canadian personality files, manuscripts - Vertical Development II-III, Growing up on the Bush Homestead, newspaper articles, book reviews, newspaper clippings, scrap books, information on various Ukrainian organizations, and 1192 photographs, postcards, illustrations, and slides depicting lives of Ukrainian pioneers - farms, churches, schools, organizations. The tape collection consists of 34 audio recordings of Michael Ewanchuk's interviews and comments on the life of Ukrainian pioneers in Manitoba. The A.06-55 accession consists of Michael Ewanchuk's papers pertaining to his career as the Inspector of Schools, educator and organizer of the Ukrainian curriculum at the public schools. The photograph collection consists of 903 photographs pertaining to his early years in Gimli, as well as to his marriage to his wife Muriel (nee Smith). Also included are 15 videocasettes of his visits to Ukraine, and 15 audio recordings pertaining to this visit.

The A12-76 accession contains records pertaining to Michael and Muriel Ewanchuk, as well as his parents Wasyl and Paraska Ewanchuk and other members of the Ukrainian diaspora in Manitoba, collected by John Lehr and David McDowell as part of their research for their biographical book, "Trailblazers: The Lives and Times of Michael Ewanchuk and Muriel (Smith) Ewanchuk" (Winnipeg: Carpathia Publishers, 2011). The collection includes original documents collected by Lehr and McDowell for their manuscript (including correspondence, memoirs, farm records, business and financial records, receipts, passports and naturalization records, and obituaries), correspondence, secondary research material, and photographic material. Some of the records appear to have been assembled by Michael for his own research.

The A.14-80 accession contains some family records, and memoirs, as well as Ewanchuk's military (RCAF) records, and photographs.

The fonds consists of manuscript notebooks of courses taken by E. P. Fetherstonhaugh at McGill University from 1897 to 1899. There are four folders. Folder 1 contains a manuscript notebook of Mechanics and Kinematics, a course taken by E. P. Fetherstonhaugh in Spring 1897. Folder 2 contains three manuscript notebooks of Machine Design, a course taken in Fall 1897, and Spring 1898. Folder 3 contains a manuscript notebook of Dynamics of Machinery, a course taken in Spring 1899. The back cover of the notebook holds two loose leaves of Electrical Engineering notes. Folder 4 contains two manuscript notebooks: Electrical Physics, taken in Fall 1897/Spring 1898, and Electrical Engineering, taken in Fall 1898/Spring 1899. Folder 5 contains a book: Essays and Addresses, Religious, Literary and Social by Phillips Brooks (1894) awarded to E.P. Fetherstonhaugh as a prize in the high school in 1895.
