Arthur T. "Art" Puttee fonds

Fonds contains one hockey goaltender stick used by Art Puttee while goalie for the Canadian hockey team (the University of Manitoba Grads) that won the 1931 World Championships in Krynica, Poland. Handwritten on one side of the handle is the text, "Winners of Turnbull Cup (Manitoba Champ), Abbott Cup (Western Canada Champ), Ross Robertson Memorial Cup (Canadian Champ). Played 21 games, won 17, tied 3, lost 1." On the outer edge of the handle is the text, "Total goals - for 113 - against 36." Other side of the handle has Art Puttee's signature. Signatures of other players are partially visiable across other parts of the stick; legible names include Doupe, Murdoch, and Chapman.

Sheila Rabinovitch fonds

The fonds consists of a collection of approximately 90 hours of 70 taped interviews conducted by Sheila Rabinovitch from 1970 to 1981. The broadcasts range from partial programs to complete and final ones as aired on CBC Radio. Broadcast topics included such prominent historic Winnipeg personalities as Ralph Connor (a pseudonym for Reverend Charles William Gordon), Judge Lewis St. George Stubbs, and lawyer John MacAulay. Other topics include art and the Establishment, the double standard of women and aging, Manitoba small town newspapers, bridge as an obsession, the ethnic recording industry in Canada, women in Judaism, Virginia Satir and her views on family therapy, mandatory retirement, Hans Selye, ethnic groups in Manitoba, and fashion trends.

The second accession, A13-109, consists of a collection of 14 audio reels containing interviews and recordings conducted by Sheila Rabinovitch from approximately 1970 to 1981. Also included is a portion of textual research related to the taped interviews in both accessions. Furthermore, a small amount of textual material related to her personal and professional life are included, such as CBC contracts and documents related to her art collection and philanthropic interests. Broadcast and research subjects include prominent Manitoba personalities such as Ken Leishman, Ralph Connor (Rev. William Gordon), E. Cora Hind, Judge Lewis St. George Stubbs, John W. Dafoe, and others that contributed to the artistic, cultural and social environment.

Clergy Identification Cards fonds

The fonds consists of 59 identification cards for clergy working within the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg. There are 59 portrait photographs of the clergy which were used as the photos on the identification cards. There are fifteen pages of textual records consisting of an invoice, work order reports, parish names and addresses, and a check list of clergy who have or have not completed their portrait.

Minnedosa Women's Institute Collection

This collection includes many records from the Minnedosa Women's Institute such as the group's constitution, and the meeting minutes from 1914-1981. The collection also contains financial records from 1932-1955. There are two scrapbooks about the Minnedosa Women's Institute, with the first running from 1910-60 and the second running from 1960-80. The scrapbooks contain pictures, clippings, and stories. There is also a scrapbook dedicated to Minnedosa Village History, which covers the years 1878-1956. Finally, this collection includes the Certificate of Organization for the Minnedosa Women's Institute, which is dated October 20, 1922, althought the group was established in 1910.

C. J. Barnes fonds

This fonds contains a pamphlet written and published by C.J. Barnes titled Seventy Years in Southwestern Manitoba. The pamphlet contains an account of life in rural southwestern Manitoba from the 1880s through to the 1940s.The pamphlet is based on a variety of sources including diaries written by Mr. Barnes' father. Fonds includes some hand-drawn maps not included in the published version of the pamphlet. This collection also includes four letters c.1962 between C.J. Barnes and Rev. Robert Harvey in his capacity as a columnist for the Brandon Sun.
