The material in this collection consists of a copy of a letter from Jacob Balzer to his granddaughter Katharina Esau who, at the time, was living in Central Butte, Saskatchewan. The letter is handwritten in the German Gothic script.

This collection contains one item. It is a report by Aeltester (Bishop) Peter Bartel about the delegation to the Prussian King in 1867, which he was a part of. The material is typed in the German language.

This fonds consists of photocopied family history and genealogy of the Block and Derksen families. These photocopies are from textual records consisting of diaries, memoirs, records of financial expenditures and genealogical records created or acquired by persons such as Gerhard G. Derksen (1866-1933), his wife Anna Pankratz Derksen (1871-1969), Ella Derksen Block (1909- ) and Isaac H. Block (1905- ). Some of the family history was originally created by Block's ancestors in the nineteenth century. Most of the history was written by Isaac H. Block in retrospect, after 1960. A small part of this fonds is genealogy created by Henry J. Block of Campden, Ontario after 1980.

The material in this collection consist of two items. The first item is an article on Cornies entitled "Biographie von Joannes Kornis". Following the article are responses to it from various people found in Echo Viewpoints, May 8, 1974. The second item is of special interest. It is a copy of a handwritten document by Cornies entitled "Die Molotschner Mennoniten Kolonien werden Verwaltet". Following is a letter from James Urry in 1985 to Harry Loewen regarding the transliteration of this document by Mrs. Voth, which is also included in this file. The document outlines the administrative orgainzation of the Molotschna Mennonite colony during the 1830s and 1840s. Much of the material is in German.
