The Johann G. Wiens fonds consists of booklets by Wiens, sermons and sermon outlines, lecture notes, poetry, plays, and songs related to his work as a teacher at the Winkler Bible Institute. Wiens wrote many poems, some are handwritten, many are typed and copied with a Gestetner. Most of Wiens' creations are in the German language, some in the Gothic script.

Cornelius C. Peters (1889-1973) fonds

The Cornelius C. Peters fonds consists of his autobiography, in the German language and also as an English translation. This fonds holds Peters' correspondence with Canadian Mennonite Brethren Conference leaders while he was in South America, growing out of his activities there. Most of these letters are photocopies. The tape is an interview by Harold Jantz (then editor of the Mennonite Brethren Herald) of Peters' personal recollections. It is in the German language and was made during the last years of his life, while he was in Tabor Manor.

The Helen Loewen Warkentin fonds consists of many letters relating to Warkentin's mission work in India. Her papers are in the Telegu, German, and English languages, with some in the Gothic script. The photographs are of mission work in India. This fonds is a rich resource for a study of single women as missionaries.

Ida Penner (1903- ) fonds

The material in this fonds consists of Ida's Bible school notebooks created as a result of her time at the Pniel Bible School in Winkler. Also included is a textbooks published around 1905, used by Penner for her students in Southern Manitoba. She wrote an article in The Beaver recounting her teaching days. The microfiches contain the diary of Ida Penner between 1925 and 1933. Her friends and classmates from the Winkler Bible School gave the photographs to Ida Penner. Included are graduation photos and wedding photographs. This collection would be useful in the study of clothing in the late 1920s and early 1930s, including wedding attire.
