The Reader family collection consists of two pen and ink drawings of The Pas and Devon Mission, Oonikup Cumberland House, Moose Lake Grand Rapids, done circa 1895 (possibly by Dunlop); applications to purchase land in The Pas, and a sheet of instructions from Sam Waller to Phil Reader on how to clean skulls.

The fonds consists of letters typed and hand written to Dr. Nero re: owl and other bird species Mr. Waller has seen in Northern Manitoba and Ontario, and a poem written by Dr. Nero, “Deserted Campfires”.

The sous-fonds consists of correspondence between Mrs. Rose (until 1952) and Dr. Rose (thereafter) with Mr. Chester Cuthbert, the nephew of Emily (Cuthbert) Rose, beginning in 1932 when the Roses were in Dartmouth College, and continuing until the death of Dr. Rose in 1968. The letters describe personal and family matters and illustrate the serious concerns of a Canadian family in the mid-twentieth century, as well as the pressing problems of a Canadian couple in a volatile Europe during the same period.
