Fonds consists of black and white photographs showing local people, especially of students and teachers, the British Commonwealth Training Station, parades, Rip Chords orchestra, Rex Cafç, the Fort Osborne Barracks in Winnipeg, buildings at Camp Shilo, and the Carberry Collegiate Institute.

Collection consists of a certificate of 25 years service to William N. Balfour from the Home Insurance Company (1953), Rip Chords programme ([ca. 1944]), Coronation service programme (1953), letterhead for Balfour Insurance. Black and white photographs show Spears Ranch (1948), Balfour and Balfour Gents Furnishing Store, a threshing outfit, other businesses, and travel.

Fonds consists of scrapbooks of the Rip Chords, and their famous Concert Party, including programmes, press clippings, personal and fan correspondence, invitations, and photographs. Of note is the original musical score for the Carberry Boat Song. Includes the RAF Rag, and the Journal of the RAF published at the Royal Air Force camp, and service flying training school badge.

Collection comprises 2 series. Textual records consist of twenty-nine scribblers detailing watch repair accounts (1936-1968), calendars for the shop and other businesses in Carberry, a Rex Cafç menu signed by Royal Air Force members (1940-1945), programmes for organ dedication at the Carberry United Church (1951), a Rip Chords performance, the Music and Arts Festival, and the Coronation Service (1953), and correspondence. Includes minutes for Carberry Business Men (1942-1943), honours and ration book of Bertha Butt, three maps showing parts of Carberry. There are 95 black and white photographs, 36 coloured photographs, 23 coloured negatives, and 67 black and white negatives. Photographs show events and people in the Carberry area.
