Funding requests

Funding lists, documented allocation of funds lists, correspondence, 1985 proposal for funding in the construction of the Burn Unit on CK3, allocation follow-up reports, approved applications lists, letters from PPC requesting funding from General Mills, Kiwanis Club, McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Ltd., Safeway We Care Program, and a letter to Isobel Boyle, Director of Child’s Health Care at the Children’s Hospital, asking for support in encouraging the involvement and input from Unit Staff who would benefit from PPC efforts.

Fundraising

The series includes records pertaining to funds raised through Wishing Wells, confection boxes/snack trays, Chi-Chi’s charity feisty and various other smaller events like bake sales, fashion shows and raffles. These include correspondence, posters, photographs, contracts and authorization from Consumers’ Bureau to solicit charitable funding.

Confection boxes/snack tray records consist of records regarding three companies: House Snacks, B. Bennett Confections and General Vending Inc.

The series includes records related to grant submissions to both McKesson Canada Foundation and United Way International.
The McKesson Canada Foundation records consist of a letter congratulating PPC as McKesson grant recipient, correspondence, equipment requested lists to McKesson, grant recommendation forms and a small equipment funded by McKesson list.
The United Way International records contain grant agreement packages (including: Exhibit A: Bank wire transfer form; Exhibit B: Funds transmittal form; Exhibit C: Grant report form; Exhibit D: List of medical equipment) and correspondence.
Other related records include “A” fund statement of operating activities and change in fund balance.
