Items described here consist of a number of loose photographs, invitations and guest lists, and newspaper clippings. Also found here is a small daily diary documenting Mrs. Van Slyck's activities during 1988. A number of obituaries and other items pertaining to Mrs. Van Slyck's death in 1992 were also accessioned with these materials.

Paintings and Works of Art

Items described here consist of a list of works and prices for Wyn's first exhibition (no date), an invitation to a showing of Wyn's work at the Smith Galleries, (May 7, 1978), a list of works exhibited in 1997, a paste up of an order form and artist's biography for a sale of the limited edition print "Garden Bouquet" (no date), and a copy of a speech by Winnifred Van Slyck on what inspired her to paint (no date). Also found here are draft drawings for the first Dugald Costume Museum logo and four drawings for a fund raising brochure (ca.1982).

Pioneer Home.

Items described here consist of a black and white photographic negative of the Van Slyck home in its original location before renovation was begun. Also found her are 63 photographic negatives documenting the interior and exterior of the Van Slyck Pioneer Home soon after it was moved to the museum property and period furnishings and other items were installed.

Fonds primarily consist of the personal records of Winnifred Van Slyck, which remained in her custody until her death. These records do not form part of the documentation of her period as President of the DCCI or as Curator of the Costume Museum of Canada, the records of which remained in the custody of the Museum and were accessioned in 1999. Items found here include diaries, personal photograph albums and scrapbooks, research notes and background material for major projects such as the Springfield History Book, very early conceptual notes for the Dugald Costume Museum project, lists of works of art, and personal biographical records and clipping files.
