The items described here are the pension fund covenant form stubs, dating from 1935 to 1969. The information contained on the stubs includes the name of the ordinand, the date and place or their ordination, and the date that the 'covenant' was forwarded to the national Board of Pensions.

Records in this series cover the period from 1971 to 1980. Items pertaining to the Settlement Committee include minutes and reports of the committee, applications, resumes and requests for transfer from Order of Ministry personnel and correspondence from charges seeking a placement. In addition there are appraisals and assessments of candidates. Although the Settlement Committee has been continually in existence for the life of the Conference, records for this committee for the years prior to 1971 have not yet been located. Also found here are correspondence and other items dating from 1971 and pertaining to the Settlement Committee Sub-Committee on Multiple Ministries.

Items also include one reel to reel audio recording titled "Winnipeg Welcome New Ministers" and dated 3 December 1971.

Items described here include minutes of the Administrative Support Committee, dating from June 1974 to March 1983; Treasurer's files, 1968-1978; funding requests, 1966-1977; general committee correspondence dating from January 1975 to December 1981; correspondence and other records pertaining to the Administrative Support Committee budget and other Conference funds dating from 1973 to 1983. Also found here are the General Ledger with entries dating from 1947 to 1979; Conference financial statements dating from 1963 to 1981; and audit reports for various Conference initiatives dating from 1975 to 1980.

Items described as part of this sub-series include the individual files of members of the Order of Ministry who had previously been accepted onto the Roll of Conference and who had been removed by retirement, death, transfer, or resignation. Ministry Personnel Records may contain detailed biographical information including resumes and obituaries. A few files contain biographical information about family members. Also found here is a file, dating from 1957 to 1970, pertaining to the awarding of Canadian Passenger Association special travel privileges to allow ordained ministers to travel at reduced rates.

This sub-series includes a number of files pertaining to individual non-ordained Conference personnel. These include lay employees at Norway House Indian Residential School and Conference office staff. This sub-series also includes two files containing inquiries and applications from persons interested in teaching or other employment in Indian Affairs schools in Manitoba for which the United Church nominated personnel. Also found here is a file of correspondence pertaining to the Lay Employees Retirement Plan contributions of Conference Communications Field Staff.

Items described here consist of correspondence pertaining to applications for Licenses to Administer the Sacraments, generally the solemnisation of marriages, for ministerial personnel practising in Manitoba. Also found here are applications for special licenses for lay supply and those temporarily on a charge.

This sub-series consists of the following folders: Broadcasting Committee minutes and reports, 1964 to 1968; Broadcasting Committee correspondence, 1965 to 1967; and items pertaining to the Prairie Regional Broadcasting Council, 1967-1970.

The sub-series includes minutes and reports of the Conference Communications Committee, correspondence, special project files, samples of press releases, issues of 'Cross-Currents' (the Conference Newsletter), items pertaining to local productions, items pertaining to the operation of Prairie Regional Broadcasting Council between 1967 and 1973, and budget documents

The surviving record for these committees is incomplete and large gaps exist in the record. Items found here include materials pertaining to the Conference Staff Committee dating from 1966 to 1983; the Conference Staff Advisory Committee dating from 1991 to 1992; several Special Staff Committees dating from 1985 to 1992; and staff meeting minutes dating from 1976 to 1992.

Records described as part of this sub-series include general files concerning the administration of the Summer Intern Program from 1974 to 1984 as well as the records of individual Interns dating from 1967 to 1980. Intern’s files usually contain the Intern’s application form, program evaluations of the placement by Interns as well as of the Interns by their supervisors, correspondence by and concerning the Intern and information about the placement (i.e. resume letter from the charge requesting a summer Intern). Charge resumes and Intern’s evaluations contain much valuable information about the history of the charge and the condition of the charge and community at the time of the placement. Some include Annual Reports and Financial Statements. Intern’s applications include names of charges in which they have served previously. Separate files for each Intern do not appear to have been kept for the period 1967 to 1972. The file for 1975 is missing. Also included here are four files pertaining to summer students who withdrew as candidates for ordination.
