Administrative history
The parish was canonically erected in 1883. The Portuguese community merged with Immaculate Conception in 1978, following a fire which destroyed the church. The new church was blessed in 1980.
Custodial history
Textual records 1883-1915 were transferred from the Archdiocese of St. Boniface circa 1917.
Scope and content
The fonds consists primarily of correspondence created or received by the Archdiocese of Winnipeg. It includes 4 detailed parish surveys and census reports beginning with one circa 1900 and others dated 1925, 1955, and 1976. There is also a 1979 document containing detailed plans and specifications for the new church.
