Name of creator
Humesville United Church existed in the Manitoba community of Humesville, located north of Brandon, from 1925 to 1929. Its predecessor was Humesville Presbyterian Church built in 1883. Discussion about building a new church had been ongoing since 1915, but it was eventually decided to amalgamate with Forrest United Church in 1929 and build a new church there. The Humesville manse was also moved to Forrest.
The records of Humesville United Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer of records form the Rural Municipality of Elton in 1994.
Scope and content
The records of Humesville United Church held at the conference archives include a Communion Roll (1896-1928).
