History

Homewood United Church existed in the Manitoba community of Homewood, located southwest of Winnipeg in the Municipality of Dufferin, from 1925 to 1968. Its predecessor was a Union Church formed in 1924 from Homewood Methodist Church, which was previously known as Eastland Methodist Church, built in 1896. It was part of the Sperling charge. At the time of Union with the United Church of Canada in 1925, Rev. J. Russell presided over services. Renovations were done to the church in 1959, but the church closed in June of 1968.
