Biographical history

The Parish of St Paul, Homewood was formed in 1907 by Archbishop Matheson, and the church was built the same year. The Synod Journal for 1907 reports a mission at Homewood and for 1908, a church. Homewood shared a priest with Carman, St John (OW.013) and Graysville, All Saints (OW.033). In June 1953, Archbishop Sherman authorized the closing of the church, and after it was used by a congregation of the Dutch Reformed Church. The building and land were sold in 1962.
