Administrative history

By 1911 the parish had received a priest of the Ruthenian (Greek Catholic) rite and the Little Servants of Mary Immaculate sisters were working in the parish. Father Joseph Kreciszewski, pastor from 1935 to 1952, founded and was editor of "Catechism by Correspondence" for rural children, beginning in the 1930's. The original sacramental records are held in St. Viator 's church at Dauphin. They date from 1919. In 1955 the church burned down and was rebuilt. By 1985, parishioners were attending St. Viator's church in Dauphin, and the church was canonically closed in 1998, with any property under the care of St. Viator's parish.

Custodial history

Textual records 1907-1915 were transferred from the Archdiocese of St. Boniface circa 1915.

Scope and content

The fonds consists primarily of correspondence created or received by the Archdiocese of Winnipeg.
