Biographical history

Holmfield Presbyterian Church (Mission) existed in the Manitoba community of Holmfield from approximately 1889 to 1925. Holmfield is in the Killarney-Turtle Mountain Municipality.

Custodial history

The records of Holmfield Presbyterian Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of two transfers of records from the Cartwright-Mather Pastoral Charge in 1978 and 1993.

Scope and content

The surviving records of Holmfield Presbyterian Church include: Membership rolls and records of the Session, including a Communion roll and register (1889-1907); records of the Board of Managers, including minutes (1911-1922); records pertaining to Christian Education, including attendance records (1909-1924); records of Annual Meetings of the congregation, including minutes (1911-1918); records pertaining to church property, including a mortgage agreement (1907); and records of the Epworth League, including minutes, (1911-1915).
