Biographical history

Headingley United Church has existed in Headingley, Manitoba, since around 1925. Headingly United Church functioned as part of the Sturgeon Creek Pastoral Charge from 1933 until 1954. Since around 1955, Headingley United Church and St. Charles United Church have formed a two-point charge. St. Charles-Headingley United Church is located at 218-110 Bridge Road, Headingley, Manitoba.

Custodial history

The records of the Headingley United Church came to the conference archives of Manitoba and Northwest Ontario as part of several transfers of records between 1987 and 2001.

The surviving records of the Headingley United Church are arranged in the following series: Sacramental Registers, pertaining to Baptisms, 1934-1986, Marriages, 1960-1997, and Burials, 1956-1999; records of the Session, including minutes, 1957-1965; records of the Official Board, including minutes, 1968-1996; records of Annual Congregational Meetings and Annual Reports, 1979-1996; records pertaining to the Board of Stewards and church property, including minutes, 1945-1968; records of lay associations, including the Ladies Aid, 1947-1963; and reference material, including publications and photographs.
