The records originally belonged to James McLea Prowse of Alexander, Manitoba. After his death in 1937 the journals and papers became the property of his son Henry Gerald Prowse and daughter-in-law Hazel (Hudson) Prowse. Hazel Prowse donated them in 1983 to Daly House Museum.
Scope and content
The collection contains the journals of James McLea Prowse from 1887 to 1905 and other personal papers including taxes in Rural Municipality of Whitehead for NW 36-9-21 from October 19 , 1930. It also contains a variety of farming periodicals dating from 1898 to 1947.
