History
Raymond Goulet was born in Montreal, Quebec and studied dance in Paris and Montreal. He performed on French and English television, with the short –lived Montreal Theatre Ballet, at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto and spent seven years with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens before joining the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 1961. He remained with the RWB until 1968, and later danced four years with the Winnipeg Contemporary Dancers. After his retirement from dancing, he served as the director of Le Studio dance Studio in Sherbrooke, Quebec and was the artistic director of Sursaut when it was founded in 1985. Raymond Goulet passed away January 2, 1991.
