George Walker began his professional dance training as a scholarship student with the San Francisco Ballet, and later trained with Robert Joffrey in New York. He joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 1957 as a member of the corps de ballet and stayed three years. In 1974, he starred in Stop the World I Want To Get Off. George Walker passed away in March of 1994 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The records of George Walker came to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet archives as part of several transfers of records from the RWB and the RWB Alumni Association.
