Administrative history

Gateway Christian Fellowship in St. Catharines, Ontario began in 2000, through the efforts of eight congregations in the Niagara Peninsula, and the vision of two couples, Dave and Wendy Franz, and Nannette and Marvin Klassen. The goal was to plant a church that would appeal to those suspicious of institutionalized religion, and yet open to spirituality. Ed Willms has served as lead pastor since its inception. The congregation averages about 150 attendees, and meets in the Lakeport Secondary School. Sources: MB Herald (11 December 2000); Gateway Christian Fellowship website,, accessed 7 June 2006.
