Biographical history

Forbes United Church existed in the Manitoba community of Forbes, in the Rural Municipality of Hartney, from 1925 to 1951. The church was located on SW4-7-22W. Its predecessor was Forbes Methodist Church, built in 1908. Forbes Methodist Church continued to be used as Forbes United Church. At the time of Union in 1925, Forbes was part of the Hartney field, with Hartney and Bethel. Rev. A.F. Lavender officiated. Forbes United Church closed in 1951 and the building was moved to Hartney to serve as an addition to Hartney United Church in 1960. The building is now known as Forbes Hall.
