Name of creator
Firdale School #866 was founded in 1897 as the Elk Park School to provide educational services to children of the Firdale, Manitoba area. Dissolution date was soon after 1968. Protestant church services were held in the school beginning in 1897. In 1918 it was rebuilt and named Firdale School before being destroyed by fire in 1928. Further information is unknown.
Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1988 by the [Carberry Plains Museum], in 1989 by the Beautiful Plains School Division of Carberry, Manitoba, and in 1990 by persons unknown.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of cash book (1960-1967), minutes (1898-1960), daily attendance registers (1919-1968, missing 1920, 1921, 1923-1926, 1929, 1930-1932, 1934-1935, 1952-1953). Registers have been indexed for students and teachers.
