Name of creator
Fairview School #198 was founded in 1882 to provide educational services to children in the Fairview, Manitoba area. It closed in 1967 when it became part of the Beautiful Plains School Division. By 1889 is finally opened for a full term, having hosted part terms until then. In 1896 a new school was built, as well as in 1951. Further information is available in "Carberry Plains: Century One".
Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1989 by the Beautiful Plains School Division, and in 1992 by Beverly Metford of [Carberry], Dorothy Martin of Carberry area, and Marjorie Scott of Carberry, Manitoba.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of daily attendance registers (1906-1966, missing 1908, 1909, 1911). Black and white photographs show students ([1901-1902]), students (1936), school building. Registers are indexed for teachers and students.
