Name of creator
Elkhorn Methodist Church existed in the Manitoba community of Elkhorn from 1903 to 1922. Early church services in the district were held in the train station and in Broadley Hall. In 1903, construction of the Elkhorn Methodist Church was complete. Worship services were held by the church's first minister, Rev. Scarlet, and a Sunday School was organized. The Elkhorn Circuit was comprised of Victor and Zion. In 1922, the congregation of Elkhorn Methodist Church joined in Local Union with Elkhorn Presbyterian Church. The Methodist Church structure became home to the congregation of Elkhorn Union Church and the Presbyterian church structure was eventually sold.
The records of Elkhorn Methodist Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer of records from Elkhorn Pastoral Charge in 1998.
