Name of creator
Edrans School #1142 was founded in 1901 to provide educational services to children of the Edrans, Manitoba area. It closed in 1967. A high school room had been added in 1937, and in 1943 the school burnt to the ground. In 1944 a new school was built, and in 1958 the high school was room was discontinued due to declining enrollment. Following school closure, students were transported to Austin or McGregor, Manitoba. Further information is unknown.
Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1994 by the Pine Creek School Division of Gladstone, Manitoba, and in 1996 by persons unknown.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of a contract between the CPR and the Edrans School District and Edrans town (1903), and school attendance registers (1942-1968), minute book (1955-1966). Registers have been indexed for students and teachers.
