She later moved to Winnipeg where she became involved with the Augustine United Church and the University of Winnipeg Womens' Club. She was married to William J. (Scotty) Howatson. Scope and content
The fonds consists of records reflecting Edith McKitrick’s time as a student at Wesley College in Winnipeg from 1922 to 1926. It includes one large scrapbook containing various small Wesley College publications, event programmes, some photos, newspaper clippings, and various other materials that McKitrick collected during her years as a student. The materials found in the scrapbook primarily highlight College events such as religious gatherings, athletic events, theatre events, music events, and College dinners that she attended in her years as a student as well as some correspondence and notes written by McKitrick. The fonds also includes one large photo album containing photographs of McKitrick, her classmates, friends, and family, as well as photos of Wesley College campus and of various College events and gatherings. In addition, the fonds includes one large graduation class photo (1925-1926), and some individual graduation portraits of McKitrick’s classmates in a small handmade scrapbook.
