Administrative history

The Eastview Community Church was formed in 1990 as an outgrowth of the River East M.B. Church. It desired to be a community church in order to reach out to the people of Winnipeg, Manitoba. They began in rental facilities with 150 people. In 1995 they built a meeting place. They have two styles of services: one for non-churched people which includes drama, contemporary music, and practical messages; and the other for churched people emphasizing in-depth Biblical teaching. In 1992 the membership was 156 and in 2000 it was 327. The leaders of the congregation were: Garth Klassen (1990-1992), Adam Wiggins (1993-1998), and Lorne Pearson (1999- ).
