Name of creator
Derry School #1052 was founded in 1901 to provide educational services to children of the Derry district of Manitoba. It was closed in 1966 due to declining enrollment, and students began going to Carberry and Douglas schools. Further information is available in "Echoes of a Century".
Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1989 by the Beautiful Plains School Division, in 1990 by Rachel Anderson of Carberry, Manitoba, and in 1995 by Mr. Muirhead of the Carberry area.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of coloured photographs of the school (1990), daily attendance registers (1919-1966, missing 1921-1922, 1925-1929, 1930-1931), half-year registers (1901-1906), map of township of Township 12 Range 11 Section 10, minutes (1900-1965). Registers are indexed for students and teachers.
