Administrative history

The Deloraine Methodist Church existed in the Manitoba community of Deloraine, located west of Killarney, from 1882 to 1917. Deloraine first appeared in the Methodist Conference minutes of 1882 as part of the Turtle Mountain District, with the Rev. Peter W. Davies presiding. Prior to the church's construction in 1897, services were in the upper floor of the parsonage. After a Local Union was formed with the Presbyterians in 1917, the church was used for Union services.

Custodial history

The records of Deloraine Methodist Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer of records in June 1978 from the Deloraine Pastoral charge and from the Provincial Archives of Manitoba in 2000.

Scope and content

The records of Deloraine Methodist Church held at the conference archives include: Sacramental Registers (1879-1917); Records of the Ladies Aid (1912-1918); and Records of the Women's Missionary Society (1908-1917).
