Biographical history

A committee was first established to prepare Noon Day Services for Lent in 1941. The Ven. Archdeacon Parker was the first Convener and Rev. C.A. Dowker was the first Secretary. The ecumenical services were held at Holy Trinity Church in Winnipeg until 1973, when it was replaced by "Lent with the Bishop" held on Wednesday evenings in Lent from 1974 to 1982.

Custodial history

The records of the Committee on Lenten Noon Day Services came to the Diocesan archives as part of several transfers of records in 1984 and 2000.
