Biographical history
Celina Wiewiora was born on February 21, 1946, in Kielce, Poland. She immigrated to Canada in 1993 with her son and daughter, sponsored by her husband, who had preceded them and was living in Winnipeg. She worked as a machine operator at Winnipeg-based clothing company Nygard.
Custodial history
The digital photographs were donated to Ogniwo Polish Museum by Celina Wiewiora in 2018.
Scope and content
The collection consists of two photographs in digital form (scanned from the original). The first photograph depicts Stanislaw Iwanowski, a friend of Celina Wiewiora, ca. 1944. The second photograph depicts Celina as a young girl (aged 6 in 1952) along with her father and others at the front gates of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
