Administrative history

Upon joining the United Church of Canada in 1925, the Carroll Pastoral charge included Carroll, Nesbitt and Burbank. The Carroll Pastoral charge, located in the Rural Municipality of Oakland, included Minnewawa from 1940 to 1941 and Little Souris from 1957 to 1967. The charge became known as Carroll- Nesbitt in 1965. After Carroll and Burbank United Churches closed, the Nesbitt congregation became part of the Wawanesa Pastoral charge in 1970.

Custodial history

The records of the Carroll Pastoral charge came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer of records from Mr. Don MacIntyre in 1987.

Scope and content

The records of the Carroll Pastoral charge include: Sacramental Register pertaining to Baptisms (1907-1968), Marriages (1908-1928, 1931-1967), and Burials (1907-1968); Communion Register (1907-1957); records of the Session (1899-1951); records of the Youth Group (1956-1957); records of the Young People's Union (1958-1959); and a Communion Roll (1952-1972).
