Biographical history

Carl Berger was born February 25th, 1939 in The Pas, Manitoba. Carl Berger spent 40 years with the University of Toronto, as a lecture, Assistant Professor and later a full professor with the Department of History. He retired in 2003.

Custodial history

Record PA86.2.1 was donated to the Sam Waller Museum by Carl Berger on the 21st of October 1986.

Scope and content

The Carl Berger fonds consists of photocopies of correspondence between Sam Waller and Berger, dating from 1963 – 1978. The letters cover the subjects of Canadian commemorative stamps, stamp collection, and local news from The Pas.
