Name of creator
The Carberry United Church was established in 1925 to provide religious services to citizens of the Carberry Plains area of Manitoba. It became the Carberry United Church upon the merger of the Methodist, Presbyterian, and Congregational denominations. Prior to the building of the Methodist church in 1903-1904, ministers visited individual homes and were recorded as ministering to the congregations from 1882. The United Church Women was a group of the church, as was Canadian Girls in Training (est. 1919 in Carberry).
The records of Carberry United Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of several transfers of records from Carberry United Church in 1979; 2001; and 2003.
