Carberry Machine Works was established before 1939 to provide machinery repair services. It was dissolved in 1974 when the owner, William McKay moved to Winnipeg. Previous to 1939, the owner was James White. Further information is unknown.

Custodial history

Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 2000 by the family of William McKay of Winnipeg.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of invoices, receipts, and correspondence from the following companies: Reliance Grain Company; D.G. Ramsey; Royal Canadian Air Force; Alex Jamie; Norman McDonald; The Carberry Hardware & Tinshop (Cliff Addison), Markle's Transfer; Berry's Hardware; United Grain Growers Limited; O.T. Johnson – electrician Carberry Tinshop.
