Administrative history

The Carberry Art Club was established in 1973 to provide exhibition and training opportunities to local artists. It disbanded circa 1992. Lessons were held once a week. In the spring of 1974 they held their first art show and tea. In 1981 they sponsored the Arts West Juried Art Show.

Custodial history

Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1999 by the family of Ada Nelson of Carberry, Manitoba.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of a minute book (1976-1991), a cash book (1973-1982), a news clipping from the Brandon Sun (1977) showing a painting.
