Every year for the past twenty four years, the Carberry & Area Lions Club have been publishing a calendar showing a picture displaying some aspect of Carberry life, the birthdates, anniversaries, dates of death and war service of Carberry and North Cypress citizens, dates of meetings of various service clubs and political bodies, dates and occasions of school closures, and other significant community dates.

Custodial history

Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 2008 by Denis Sevigny of the Lions Club

Scope and content

Fonds consists of a calendar for 2008-09 (58.5 x 28 cm) the top half of which shows a picture, framed by small (1 column inch approximately) advertisements for local businesses. Below that in the bottom half are the calendar pages (starting in July and also bearing small business advertisements). For this year, since it is the Carberry & District Agricultural Society's 125th Anniversary, the picture selected for the calendar is a photograph of a winning team of horses exhibited by James C Humeston of Wellwood at the fair in 1908
